About The Author

Paula Keim

Hi, I’m Paula Keim—a licensed practical nurse, a former thoroughbred racehorse jockey, and someone who believes deeply in the power of resilience, faith, and love. My life has been a journey of overcoming—addiction, health challenges like Lyme disease and traumatic brain injuries, and moments when I felt lost or broken. But through it all, I’ve learned that our differences are what make us unique, and our struggles can become our greatest strengths.

I’m also a lifelong lover of horses, dogs, and the beauty of family and faith. These passions, along with my own experiences, inspire the stories I write. My debut children’s book is all about acceptance, inclusivity, and finding the courage to embrace life’s challenges. I want to remind every child (and adult) that they are never alone and that their story matters.

When I’m not writing, you’ll find me spending time with my family, caring for animals, or sharing my story to encourage others. My hope is that my books will inspire readers to see the beauty in their differences, lean on their faith, and believe in the power of love to heal and transform.
